Public invitation to unemployed persons for licensed training for tourist guides

The Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro in cooperation with partners: the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo, NGO ETRI and Regional Business Center Berane implements the cross-border project "Skills for sustainable employment in the cross-border region of Montenegro and the Republic of Kosovo - Without borders! (NO BORDERS)”. The project is co-financed by the European Union and is implemented within the cross-border cooperation program IPA Montenegro - Kosovo 2014-2020 (IPA II), with the support of the Ministry of Finance - Directorate for Financing and Contracting of EU Aid Funds (CFCU) as the Contracting Authority.
The projected duration of the project is until August 31, 2024. year. The aim of the project is to raise the level of employability of young people (15-30 years old) and women by improving the necessary knowledge and skills for employment within the framework of paid three-month training at employers, as well as improving businesses operating in the border area.
Objective of the call: Selection of 5 candidates who will participate in paid three-month training for tourist guides. The goal of the course is to train future tour guides to perform tourist guiding activities. The target group is high school graduates with appropriate orientation or practical experience, women and students and alumni who lack practical knowledge and skills to become competitive on the labor market, especially for the activity of tourist guidance. After completing this course, candidates are ready to perform the following jobs: tour guide, tour guide, excursion organizer, etc.
About the training program: The training lasts three months and is conducted by lecturers licensed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. After the completed training, an exam is organized. Upon passing the exam, a certificate is obtained, on the basis of which a work license is obtained issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North. In accordance with the Training Program for licensed tourist guides, training will be conducted in 17 subjects, all according to the Knowledge Catalog for the subject area. Candidates who do not have a B2 certificate for the language they are applying for take a test to determine the level of knowledge of that language.
Who can apply: unemployed persons (18-30 years old) and women from the municipalities: Andrijevica, Berane, Bijelo Polje, Gusinje, Kolašin, Petnjica, Mojkovac, Plav and Rožaje.
Candidates should preferably have:
Certificate of knowledge of at least one foreign language, i.e. the language in which the guide provides services;
Minimum IV degree of school education in the tourism profession, economics profession or gymnasium;
Basic computer knowledge;
Basic features:
communicativeness;
ability to work in a team;
organizational skills and flexibility;
responsibility;
Training time period: end of February to end of June 2024.

In addition to the application form, it is necessary to submit:
- certificate/proof from the Labor Bureau about unemployment;
- a certificate of knowledge of a foreign language (level B2 or higher), if the candidate has one;
- certificate of the degree obtained.

Application deadline: Applications for the three-month training of tourist guides are open until January 31, 2024. years. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
Method of selecting candidates: The selection of candidates will be carried out by the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro and the Regional Business Center of Berane with the support of the staff of the institution that will be selected to provide licensed training services.
After checking the basic criteria, priority will be given to candidates who applied first and have a duly completed application.
