BFC SEE certificate handed to president Smolovic in Budva

At solemn part of the conference on economy "Synergy - the key to the success of the region", organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, BFC SEE certificate was handed to mayor of the municipality Bijelo Polje Petar Smolović.
During the last supervisory review of Bijelo Polje, it was found that certification process percentage of criteria fulfillment is 90%, which enables Bijelo Polje to become the first Municipality in Montenegro to receive the status of a certified local government that has built a favorable business environment.
“I feel great personal and professional satisfaction with the fact that we have become the first municipality in Montenegro to receive Certificate of fulfillment the BFC standards and the opportunity to be proudly named Business Friendly Municipality in the next 3 years. I have to pay tribute for this success to the team members who worked the whole process, during which we worked to meet the required criteria. The fact that in the end we achieved 90 out of the maximum 100 percentage points best indicates the success of our work, ” president Smolovic said.
The BFC SEE program has been implemented since 2012 and so far more than 100 cities and municipalities from five countries have been involved in the certification process. In addition to Bijelo Polje, Podgorica, Tivat, Danilovgrad, Zabljak and Cetinje also entered the certification process.
Certification of municipalities and cities by the economy in Southeast Europe is a unique program for evaluation and improvement of local business conditions. The certification program provides municipalities and cities with a reform plan and clear guidance on how to create a good business climate and introduce internationally recognized standards of efficient and transparent local administration.
